I know - I was bummed when the AAF abruptly folded seven weeks into its initial season.
But I heard something the other morning that made me feel better about the league and its results. If I am correct, I heard on The Fan the other day that over 40 AAF alumni have made NFL rosters.
So, let's do the math. If each of the 8 teams had 53 man rosters - that's a pool of 424 players. And if just 40 of them are now on NFL rosters - that's just a tick under 10% that got promoted to the NFL.
I wish the league would have been on better footing financially, but the end result of 10% of your players being promoted to the NFL from a developmental league has to be considered a win.
