The fun starts at 7:30 tonight.
Will the starters see the field tonight? If so, will it be just for a series and then call it a day?
Here's what I would do. I would play the starters for a maximum of one offensive/defensive series. No exceptions. But the starters have earned the right to go toe to toe with someone in a different colored jersey, and break a sweat.
I am most excited to see the guys play in quarters two and three. These will be the guys that every team needs on its roster to be successful - the niche or specialists, and the depth guys. Guys like Derrick Willies, D'Ernest Johnson, and the subs on the OL. I also want to see the rooks.
But more than anything else, I want everyone (both teams) who steps onto the field tonight to exit it in the same physical condition they entered onto it.
I’m going to the game tonight. I hope the starters play some. We have the crappiest home preseason games. Game 1 & game 4. The 2 games the starters barely play.
I want a full report - complete with pictures!
Your point is valid about the PS schedule. IIRC - teams are responsible for their own schedules. They don't like to play a regular season opponent in the PS. They like to limit travel. And they certainly don't like to play divisional opponents.
My point being - wk 3 - 8/24 - IN TAMPA - I am sure it will be 95° with 90% humidity - WTF???
OK, so Baker is kinda good at football. Hilliard with some huge plays in the drive.
7-0 Browns
Holy shit - I think the defense was amped up to go against someone else other than the other orange helmets. Me thinks they gots the quicks.
Well the officials don't need any preseason - they are in midseason form. They blew that replay big time.
There's your boy Chill! Pick six by Mack The Knife!
GREEEEDDDDDYYYYYY!!!!!!!
MACK! AGAIN!!!
Well, I don't know if he will make the team, but it was a very cool moment when Damon Sheehy-Guiseppi took a punt back 85 yards in the blink of an eye. He is forcing the coaches to take notice of him.
