That was quite evident in watching him not doing as many check-downs as he normally would. But, on the positive side he luckily had Landry to rely one and hence, Mayfield had got rid of the ball quicker, thus taking the pressure off the OL in their pass blocking schemes. As, Brooksie knows I'm not a big favourite of Njoku as being our TE. Sure, as I acknowledged he's young, has freakish body but he also has hands of steel too many times, needs to hone his blocking skills also imho. I like the kid Broncos drafted #1 Noah Fant, Iowa who will be an All-Pro in a few years if Broncos find their QB of the future.
Since we allowed the max to take only 2 players in one season from the IR, I won't be surprised that we take OL, Drew Forbes and TE, David Njoku and leave Kirksey off the active roster to heal completely.
What's everybody saying about Freddie's coaching this time? I didn't watch most of the game as I had to be away for a birthday party but, got home to see end of game. I watched some of the high-light films and thought the turning point was Chubb's 88 yard run. It was an over-all good game plan helped by some poor tackling on the Ravens part. The next game will be much closer. We need some more diversity in medium range receivers and if Callaway, Higgins and Ratley perform to their best, we could really become dangerous.
