Kickoff is at 1 pm Cleveland time. I am surprised this is not in the 2nd round of games of the day.
If the Browns truly seek that "statement win" then they have come to the right place. After we beat the Cowboys, the casual and internet NFL fans will say "Whoa - the Browns are good!"
But to the learned NFL fans and Dawg Pound Nation, it will not be a surprise. Kevin Stefanski and staff are beginning to find their groove as a unit. Their play calling accents what this team does best - run the ball. We AVERAGE 170 yards per game! Dallas' run defense is not great - surrendering almost 128 yards per game.
I was so impressed of the growth the offensive took against Washington. We need to reach back into the past and call on an old Paul Brown theory. If you are successful running the ball, keep doing it until they prove they can stop you. I will take our 1-2 combo of Chubb and Hunt against any other pair in the league.
That is the ticket to success for this game in particular, and our season in general. You can win a hell of a lot of football games by churning out 4-5 yard gains. Once the run is established, we can unleash the play action passes.
But Dallas is still Dallas, even if they are banged up. I expect a hard fought 6 minute game with the Browns holding on at the end for a 28-24 victory.
There ya go, boys. And I apologize for the tardiness of getting this thread up.
