It is FINALLY here. It has been a whirlwind of an offseason, but all that gets set aside. The training wheels are off - it's go time Baby!
Who: Tennessee Titans (0-0) vs. Cleveland Browns (0-0)
Where: First Energy Stadium - Cleveland Ohio
When: Kickoff at 1 pm - Sept 8th
Weather: 75°, Partly Cloudy, 0% chance of Rain
Tennessee finished last season as a playoff team at 9-7. They will a better than average defense today - but they will be extremely thin on the offensive line today. Starting LT Taylor Lewan has been excused from this game on a PED suspension. His backup, Dennis Kelly, has had his moments, but he has also showed why he is a backup OT. And the late breaking news is that starting RG Kevin Pamphile will not play due to an injured knee. Browns should have a massive advantage here.
The Browns will feature the debut of OBJ with Baker. I think we will begin to see the benefits of all these offensive weapons. It really will be pick your poison when facing the Browns. Look for Nick Chubb to have a monster day, due to the attention paid to the Browns' aerial attack.
And finally, after 7 long years of Tabor and Jones, we have an excellent special teams coach.
The Scottish Hammer will be an upgrade at punter, but I hope that Priefer's tutelage was absorbed by Jamie as a holder. We could not lose by going with Austin Siebert. Joseph was maddeningly consistently inconsistent. That loses games and gets coaches fired.
The biggest thing I want to see is the performance of Freddie. I think he will be fine. I just hope he doesn't let overall game management suffer because he is too involved in the minutia of play calling. I think he has the staff to help him, and it will be a big day for the Browns!
