Do the Browns have enough good vibes and confidence in their OT, Greg Robinson to not do any trading for Redskins number 71, OT, Trent Williams? I don't they'll be interested and are ready for the long haul with Robinson. jmho
I think you are right Stabber. Yes, Trent Williams is a Pro Bowl tackle, but he is on the wrong side of 30 now - and his recent injury history is not good, by any stretch of the imagination.
Then you factor in these two important nuggets.
First - Trent Williams has stated that he will sit out ALL YEAR if necessary to force the Redskins to make a move with him. And this is the tactic you use you to entice teams to trade for you? Why would they do that with that kind of attitude? Talk about a cancer in waiting for your young locker room...........
Second - Look at the progress that PROVEN OL coach James Campen has had this offseason with Greg Robinson. It could be that he has indeed found the key to unlock all the talent that made Greg the #2 pick in the draft five years ago. Greg has noticed the improvement in his game and he is grateful to Campen for working with him. You want to alter that scenario - why?
I think the Browns are miles ahead to pass on Trent Williams. Plus you also keep the compensation you would have given the Redskins in any deal.

As long as Robinson is progressing every day we have to stick with the young man. We'll see how looks in the pre-season.
One thing to keep in mind - he is going against Myles Garret daily in practice. Game day may seem like a breather to him then.
I don't see Dorsey being dumb enough to sign this guy, his age and injury history is one thing but he sounds like a pain in the ass diva, No Thanks.
