First up, TB Darrin Hall of the University of Pittsburgh. He reminds me completely of Mike Weber, formerly of Ohio State. Body type to break the inside the tackles punishment, as well as having nice vision to see the holes ahead of him. Local kid - played at Austintown Fitch.
You know you are doing something right when you break some of the great Tony Dorsett's rushing records. This is, at the very least, a really, really nice signing for depth purposes.
Next up, DE Wyatt Ray of Boston College. He had nine sacks last season. One trait that comes through at any level of football is speed, Wyatt has that covered. That poor RT of Wake Forest is still wondering how fast Wyatt really is. Ray also shows nice anticipation of when to get off his speed rush, and anticipate the ball being thrown and adapting to defend that. Very nice depth pick up.
Did Coach Freddie say he was planning to upgrade the special teams? Well......
Meet the Scottish Hammer - All Purpose Kicker Jamie Gillan. I remember the Browns had him in for a predraft visit. Seems like they liked what they saw.
some interesting pickups post draft, nice deepth and even potential starters or, at least, role players. Wyatt Ray also looks to have a pretty good arm reach, good for batting down passes. lol
After watchign those vids, Ryan has some pretty good speed to get in the backfield, that should go well with Garrett. Good call, Brooksie, on Darrin Hall, he does remind me of Weber, and the Scottish Hammer, damn he's got a strong left leg. lol How did these guys go undrafted?
Well, Rab, for instance - Dorian Baker WR Kentucky. Has a reputation of making the spectacular catch in the impossible location from his QB - and then dropping the simple wide open look. Not exactly positive resume builders for wide receivers.
Browns filling out roster with reported undrafted free agents
By Josh EdwardsSun Apr 28 20190
Each NFL team is allowed to carry 90 players through the off-season. With the addition of the seven draft choices in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns have 80 players on their roster, which means they have ten spots remaining to fill out with undrafted free agents.
Every year, there seems to be some confusion between a signed player and a player attending minicamp on a tryout basis. Cleveland Browns on 247Sports has tried to identify which reported players belong in each category. The team will officially announce their signings in the coming days.
