Ourlads' Profile:
2018 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about WYATT TELLER: Virginia Tech, 6044 314 5.26. Started two-and-a-half years at left guard. From Bealeton, VA. Plays with a burr in his saddle. A versatile athlete who can play in either a zone or man scheme. Has long arms and big hands for the position. Mobile enough to protect a quarterback rolling out. Effective wall off position blocker who cuts well on the backside. Was the Virginia State Defensive Player of the Year as a senior in high school. During his red-shirt year he moved from defensive end to offensive tackle to guard. A strong and athletic guard talent who flashes an explosive punch with good body control. Walls off inside pursuit. Quick on pull cut blocks. Played more consistent in 2017 than 2016. Will have technique breakdowns at times and fail to finish his blocks. Also has a tendency to narrow his base out of his stance where he loses his feet in traffic at times.
The Buffalo Bills and Cleveland Browns have agreed to a trade this afternoon, with Cleveland hoping the move will help shore up its offensive line. Buffalo sent second-year offensive lineman Wyatt Teller and a 2021 seventh-round pick to the Browns in exchange for a fifth-and sixth-round pick in 2020.
I like OL from WV or Virginia. He's versatile being familiar with zone and man scheme blocking. With his long arms, if they can coach him up with is feet movement he could also be our left tackle if Robinson 'bombs' out.
Never can have enough OL, I certainly hope Drew Forbes is ok, I'm really rooting for him, especially since we share the same last name. lol
That was the reason for the "roster gymnastics" last weekend. The Browns really like Forbes, but he is not ready yet to play after the knee injury. Seems like it is a few weeks out. If the team placed him on IR prior to him clearing waivers, he was done for the season. So they needed a roster spot for 24 hours, so they could move him to IR after the waiver period ended - and then they could return him to the active roster 8 weeks out.
Enter Greg Robinson.
I don't know much about this young man, but if Dorsey thought enough of him to trade for him, then I trust in Dorsey.
I am with you Rab - I know nothing about this kid's football acumen - but man, he is one grounded kid. Welcome to family, Wyatt!
