Packers need a red zone receiver and I'm thinking why not ship them Callaway for their back-up LT/RT/ G Alex Light and a middle to late round 2020 pick.
Here's a short bio
2018 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about ALEX LIGHT: Richmond, 6051 311 5.52. Three-year starter from Salem, VA. Has experience at both tackle and guard. Projects to be a guard on the next level. Played in a spread offensive scheme where he lined up in both a two and three point stance. Plays with a good base and smooth feet. Was a three-year starter on a state championship basketball team in Virginia. Has long arms and huge hands. Plays square in pass protection. Will sustain his blocks, especially when pulling in space. He has been known to drive a defender out of bounds. Aggressive in his play. Can screen off and cut block on the backside. A late round draft choice who has a chance to play on the next level. Has the size and quickness for the position but needs his NFL skills honed to get on the field. A developmental player with draftable qualities. Not invited to Combine. Seventh round/PFA. (A-33 1/2, H-11 1/8, BP-26, 10-1.86.
I'm guessing you mean Callaway, if the Packers G will help our OL as much or more than Antonio would help the offense, then I'd be fine with it, we do need to secure the OL. I like Vernon but I'm almost wishing we had not traded Zeitler away.
Marc, thanks for taking an interest in my post.. Yes, it's Callaway and thank you. Another trade involving Callaway I would be interested in seeing is one where we could get the Patriots interested in trading their new rookie LB Chase Winovich to the Browns. I loved watching this guy playing at Michigan. He's tough, fast and smart and he's already was Pepsi's Rookie of the Week winner this season.
I am thinking the track record of James Campen begins to show itself - and the offensive line begins to fall into place. Sure looked that way in Baltimore today.
But I also don't think it is a lock that Callaway is activated and immediately inserted in the starting line up.
That may be predicated on Juice's situation, however.
I think the Giants came out on top of that trade a bit better than the Browns. Unless our new DE, Olivier Vernon, starts to show some of his talent more ostensibly. Giants got a starting OG who could become an All-Pro this season if their new QB continues to excel. They got another starter and possible All-Pro future in Jabril Peppers. So, last year was a blue ribbon one for the Giants in that they got a great running back, a starting new QB, a starting RG and dynamic Safety, both becoming possible All-Pros. That's quite a haul and show what a great organization like the Giants can achieve in such a short time.
No problem stabbs, always happy to talk Browns with other great Browns fans. I'm still wondering where the hell all the others from 24/7 are hiding? I've been back on Dawgtalkders, albeit, the original reason I left is because it is a very big site and it's easy to get lost in the shuffle, plus, I liked everybody at 24/7.
Anyways, Browns looked great against Baltimore, I think our talent really got a chacne to shine, and I'm not worried about OBJ, he'll get his, but part of his job is to be a decoy of sorts, draw the double team so somebody else can get open. Wow, Chubb really likes to nail the 90 yard TD runs, give or take, as it was actually 88 yards. lol The run game is really helping out a lot. The backups in the secondary have really stepped up and they may be the biggest reason for our victory, though credit goes all around.
I've heard the name Chase Winovich, but I can't say I know anything about him, it's not like I watch a lot of Michigan, other than when the Buckeyes play them, I do keep up with their record and sometimes hear/read about players. lol So, if we traded for him, I'd trust in Dorsey. If we were to trade Calloway, I'd be interested in seeing if we could acquire A.J. Green, depending on how bad his injury is, can you imagine, OBJ, A.J., Landry, and Njoku. Yikes, what secondary would be looking foward to defending that group of receivers. LOL The only thing that might have been better is if we would have gotten Khalil Mack on defense, I still dream of what would have been.
However, if we had acquired K Mack, we likely would not have been able to get OBJ, at least I don't think so, but ya never know with Dorsey. lol In any case, at this point, I would like to see our OL solidified, either with consitent starters, capable depth, or the best scenario, both. I know they haven't been that bad, but I just feel like we're an injury away from our OL falling to shit. Maybe it's just me. lol I do agree that trading Zeitler may have been a mistake.
