- Obinna and Weaver are likely getting the 2019 Forbes treatment, meaning stashing a young developmental player on IR for the season, and they're not needed.
Looks like Denzel made it though without noticeably worsening his groin.
Ended up being a smart move not to push Greedy and Mack too soon, since we won.
MJ and K-Jo with more snaps, as did Harrison.
Most importantly, I think we're going to have another "returning to health" week as we escaped unscathed with the banged up players seemingly no worse for wear.
Let's see if Mack, Greedy, OV, and Phillips can get all the way back, while Conklin, Ward, and AC hang in there.
Seems to have been the good health week we so badly needed. Cowboys have a bunch of WRs so having Denzel, Greedy, Mitch, and KJ right is key.
Somebody said the Browns will need to score a lot to keep up because we don't have the DBs to cover them. If healthy, I don't know many 4-deep CB groups who could compete with ours, so I deg to biffer.
And with Ronnie and Mack rounding into shape in different ways, joining Malcolm Smith, we should be able to cover TEs and RBs better as the season progresses. Oh, and Phillips, of course. Dude can move.
My version of a hot take: Njoku and OBJ will not be on the 2021 Browns. Biggest needs/adds will be a WR and a LB. Safety will emerge with Harrison, Joseph, Redwine, and eventually Delpit.
I could see WR in 1 and LB in 2... but we're likely to target one or the other as our one big f/a get.
Not sure WR will be a need. Hodges has played well with limited opportunities, and DPJ showed promise this off-season. Higgins likely keeps on, and Natson seems to be a guy they like a lot.
LB is a HUGE need, and I think S may be revisited.
It'll be really interesting to see how we feel in 6, 8, 10 weeks based mostly on Wilson, Phillips, Harrison, Joseph, Redwine... and Delpit's meds. Your bet on S and LB is strong, no doubt... but I keep thinking there are a lot of young guys here with the talent to seriously emerge.
I think if OBJ moves on, we'll be pretty aggressive about replacing him. I like Hodges and DPJ but I doubt we'd go into the season without a big add. Hell, Rams went R2 and had Kupp, Woods, and Reynolds (and are feeling quite good about it).
- Delpit is done

- Njoku will be back, soon
