Certainly not stunned by this news - actually, I think it is best for all involved. As the linked article states, Berry may have been the future GM-in-waiting here on the North Coast. But when John Dorsey was hired, that became an awkward fit.
Bottom line, Jimmy Haslam chose Dorsey because of his track record and experience - and that left Andrew on the outside looking in. Andrew is a very smart guy, he knows how the NFL works - and now he gets a better opportunity with the Eagles. Win-Win.
I always scratched my head on why we had 3 VPs of Player Personnel in front office being Berry, Kovash and Highsmith. I think Eliot will replace Dorsey when he retires and, Highsmith will end up Assistant GM to Wolf down the track leaving Kovash the only VP of Player Personnel. jmho
Yup, you're right Stabbs - much better work flow in the office now. On a side note, glad to see you were able to get your user name changed!
I hate to see Berry go. He’s a wealth of knowledge. But he deserves to be able to move on and grow his career.
