The best thing about the 2020 season so far is, as fans, we have been able to celebrate "Victory Mondays" in three of four game weeks. I was stone cold impressed with the grit this team showed yesterday to steal a victory from a game they were supposed to lose - according to our local media "experts".
I am feel very confident after yesterday, and hopeful for the rest of the year. That being said, I can parallel my own life experiences here. If we continue to revisit with glee the fact that we are 3-1, we are sure to get our asses handed to us by the Colts on Sunday.
I think the easiest path to continued success is to divide the season into quarters. We just finished the first quarter of the season better than most, myself included, thought we would. But that is now in the past. Leave it there.
As @damajuki said so eloquently in another post, we need to stack wins. Let's think about what we did to get to 3-1; and keep working like that. Dividing the season into 4 (4) game stretches will not allow you to dwell on the bad experiences too long, and not look too far ahead as well. Every quarter has 2 home games and 2 roadies. This next four may be a challenge - Wk 5, home to Indy, Wk 6, at the big ketchup bottle, Wk 7, In the Jungle, and Wk 8 home to the Raiders. That is enough on our plate at once.
Happy for our success, but let's get back to work.
I predict we'll be 3-1 in each of those quarters. I'm just saying shit now, I doubt that makes any sense at all (!!).
Caution? I ain't got no time for no caution!
You're an act first and apologize later kind of guy, right Ocon?
