With the clown show that is B1G leadership finally caving in, changing their story completely, and going back on all of the 'science' they cited in cancelling their season, all the P5 conferences are back sans the Pac 12. So maybe we can actually talk college football in this forum now?
There are still COVID hurdles to overcome and the B1G put some pretty tight restrictions on COVID protocol, so we'll see how things pan-out, but let's get some early season predictions.
My CFP predix:
National Championship: Clemson vs Alabama
National Champion: Clemson Tigers
Heisman: It should go to Trevor Lawrence, who is easily the best player in college football. However, Dabo Swinney pulls Trevor (and all the starters) very early in games to 1)build depth 2)keep players healthy 3)he does not like embarrassing opponents. Ryan Day has a different philosophy as he will intentionally leave Fields in games late to pad his stat line and intentionally embarrass opponents. Therefore, Day will do everything in his power to make sure Fields wins the Heisman. It's going to kill Buckaroos, but you don't want any of Clemson this season, or any season, because it won't end well for you. You're going to have to watch Clemson lift another National Championship trophy.
