Here is a snapshot of another linebacker who I think would fit very well into our team. The draft projections I have seen for Joseph range from the late first round to a solid second rounder.
So, if Zaven Collins and JOK are both gone by the time our pick rolls around at 26, I really don't think that would be "overdrafting" Ossai.
The first thing that jumps at me when looking at the tape is how sure of a tackler Ossai is. Wonder if he wrestled with cattle as a lad? Because that is what it looks like when he tackles. Not much of the forearm bump into them stuff - old school wrap them up.
Next is his speed for his size. He has the prototypical AFC North size coupled with speed that puts him in the conversation to be a Lamar spy and neutralizer. I think he is a rare talent, and I think we could use him well.
More Ossai highlights.
Joseph is a flat out game changing playmaker. Never gives up on a play.
