The Seattle Seahawks and the New York Jets have pulled off a trade that should register at least a 7.9 on the trade Richter scale.
In an attempt to return their defensive backfield to the days of glory in the "Legion of Boom" era, the Seahawks have landed SS Jamal Adams from the Jets.
I am not real sure how I completely feel about this, but first impressions are that Jets GM Joe Douglas fleeced the Seahawks. He unloaded a Pro Bowl level talent, but that talent was currently very unhappy in NY, and a team carcinogen. Adam's had basically backed the Jets into a corner where they HAD to trade him.
But because of his talent, GM Joe Douglas was able to receive this in return.
2021 first round choice
2022 first round choice
2022 third round choice
And - the Jets received Seahawks' safety Bradley McDougald.
The Jets also gave up a 2021 fourth round choice.
WOW. Me thinks the Jets won this one.
