I think the Cardinals really blew it. They would have gotten a great defensive player at the #1 spot. Kyler Murray will be exciting to watch for a while but I don't think he will stand the test of ime no matter how much they compare him to Russel Wilson. You gotta build through the trenches or your QB wil spend much of the game on his back. And if your defense can't stop anybody ... well it doesn't end well.
Spot on - I agree that the correct course of action would have been to put solid building around Rosen.
I saw a frightening stat on First things First the other day. Rosen led the league in QB sacks last year. That's bad enough - but the real frightening stat is that an abnormally high percentage of those sacks resulted in him being sacked within 2.5 seconds of the snap!
No way in the world you can learn to read a defense with that kind of time (or lack thereof) in the pocket.
